As the adven­tur­ers delve deep­er into the mineshaft, they dis­cov­er that it is inhab­ited by a group of kobolds led by their tyr­an­nic­al lead­er, a dragon­born sor­cer­er named Vor­gath. Vor­gath and his kobolds have been using the mineshaft as a base of oper­a­tions to raid the town of Oak­dale and oth­er nearby settlements.

The adven­tur­ers must fight their way through the kobold-infes­ted tun­nels and defeat Vor­gath to claim the valu­able ore and com­plete their mission.

NPC Back­story:

Vor­gath is a dragon­born sor­cer­er with a deep-seated hatred for all non-dragon­born races. He was once a mem­ber of a power­ful dragon­born clan, but he was exiled for his reck­less and destruct­ive beha­vi­or. Vor­gath has been seek­ing revenge ever since, and he has used his magic­al abil­it­ies to gain con­trol over a group of kobolds and use them as his minions.

Vor­gath has been using the aban­doned mineshaft as a base of oper­a­tions to raid the town of Oak­dale and oth­er nearby set­tle­ments, steal­ing valu­able resources and caus­ing chaos. He plans to use the wealth and power he has gained from his raids to rebuild his clan and reclaim his place at the head of a power­ful dragon­born empire.

  3. Cav­ern: The cav­ern is a large open space that serves as Vor­gath’s lair. It is guarded by two more kobold min­ions, and Vor­gath him­self can be found here.

Encounter 1: Entrance to the Mineshaft

As the adven­tur­ers approach the entrance to the mineshaft, they are ambushed by a pair of kobold min­ions. These kobolds are guard­ing the entrance and will attack any intruders on sight.

Encounter 2: Main Tunnel

As the adven­tur­ers make their way through the main tun­nel, they will encounter a series of traps and kobold min­ions. The kobolds are spread out through­out the tun­nel and will attack the adven­tur­ers on sight.

Encounter 3: Cavern

As the adven­tur­ers reach the cav­ern, they will encounter two more kobold min­ions guard­ing the entrance. Inside, they will find Vor­gath, the tyr­an­nic­al dragon­born sor­cer­er who is the lead­er of the kobold clan. Vor­gath is a for­mid­able oppon­ent and will use his sor­cery to attack the adventurers.

Encounter 4: Ore Vein

Once the adven­tur­ers have defeated Vor­gath, they can make their way to the ore vein and col­lect a sample of the valu­able ore. They can then return to the mer­chant to col­lect their reward and com­plete their mission.

Con­clu­sion:

The adven­tur­ers have suc­cess­fully cleared out the aban­doned mineshaft and retrieved a sample of the valu­able ore. They have defeated Vor­gath and his kobold min­ions, bring­ing an end to their raids on the town of Oak­dale and oth­er nearby settlements.

The mer­chant is grate­ful for their help and pays them the agreed upon sum, plus a bonus for their bravery and suc­cess. The adven­tur­ers can now return home and rest, know­ing that they have saved the town and com­pleted their mission.
