The first time I camped out there (that I remember---I think I may have gone there as a young kid, but don't remember for sure) was pretty much by accident. We went on a long weekend, and it was the only site that wasn't already full when we made our reservations.

It was the "fallback" for us, as well, but I'm pretty fond of it now. A happy accident, I guess.

Agreed. It's usually the fallback for most people, but I kinda like being out of the way.

Well, I'm ridiculously late replying to this, but I've been to Wabasso before. It is a nice site. It's a bit off the beaten trail, compared to the other "major" sites in Jasper, in that it's not right on Highway 93, which is nice.

Hey Adam,

We went to Jasper. Stayed in the park at the Wabasso campsite. Nice site, reasonably close to Athabasca Falls, and in the middle of bear country.

Yep, it was fun, rainy but fun. Our last day was the best. The weather lifted, we went to the base of the Tram, to Athabasca falls, then began the Angle Glacier hike up Mt. Edith Cavalle. We were rained out though...snow and sleet actually. Dogs weren't happy. All in all, fun though!
