Got Joost? I do, and I hope to be writing about it soon…

Like so many other pop-tech folk, I immediately jumped on The Venice Project (they've since changed the name to Joost) site when it became clear that this was a TV for the internet project by the same folks who are changing the rules for internet telephony; Skype.

My beta test invitation arrived today, so that means I'll be trying Joost tonight.

Hopefully, I'll be able to discuss the service here shortly, but I've got one question so far, how do you pronounce that name?

I had a friend with that name, and he pronounced it to rhyme with toast.

Ping me if you can get Amazing Race through this service. It’s the only thing I miss about TV.

Gurj, it seems to be true that invites are available. There’s a ‘credit’ system in place to grant invites, and I have no credit yet :-(

I think Joost is cool.

I am from South Africa and have recently only learnt of Joost. I have signed up to become a beta-tester, however, in order to really get a chance at testing Joost, you need to be invited by a beta-tester who already is testing it.

I am putting my feelers out to all in the hope that a lucky beta-tester would consider inviting me. Thank you in advance to anyone who would consider.
